Hei Taniwha Marakihau, Tai Tokerau style with Kirikiore Unaunahi, Kawhaka Flower Inanga collected by Kaitiaki Rangatira Peter Tauwhare of Ngati Waewae. This piece is roughly 12cm long.
This is the 8th unique piece in my Taniwharau series which draws on the carving traditions of Te Tai Tokerau to give life to the korero purakau at the heart of this kaupapa.
