Roimata from very fine Kawhaka Creek Inanga. The Kawhaka was the original bed of the Arahura during the Puawaitanga era, the flowering rhind tells how this ancient Inanga has sat in the bed for centuries left behind as the river shifted its course.
The Roimata is associated with Waitaiki, who was turned to stone by Poutini at the Arahura source.
