Beautiful translucent Pounamu from Arahura with dark Kawakawa spots and chatoyant banding. The Pipiwharauroa varieties of Pounamu are especially prized as a taonga of Ngapuhi associated with Ngatokimatawhaorua waka.
The Roimata is associated with the feminine energy of Waitaiki, who was turned to stone by Poutini at the Arahura source.
